I'm back! Here's how my life has been recently, and I'll show you my latest visit to the Valley. [ENG/ESP]

Hello, friends of this lifestyle community. It's been a while since I last said hello and posted something here. I had a few months where I felt like I was in many places and yet nowhere at the same time, but I'm happy to be back here again to tell you a little about what I've been up to and also to show you my last visit to the valley, which was a few months ago now, but I still want to tell you about it, as it was something different and special for me.

Hola, amigos de esta comunidad de lifestyle, tiempo sin saludarles y publicar algo por aquí; tuve unos meses en los cuales sentí que estuve en muchas partes y a la vez en ninguna, pero estoy feliz de estar otra vez por aquí y para contarles un poco qué he estado haciendo y también para mostrarles de mi última visita al valle, que fue hace ya algunos meses, pero igual se las quiero contar, ya que para mí fue algo diferente y especial.

To start the day, we decided to go to the Valley because it was almost time for the Virgin to be raised, so we wanted to see her before that. Without planning it, we arrived at the church just as Mass was beginning, so at first, since the church was full, we stayed at the entrance listening, but then we were able to sit down. When we saw that there was a long line to see the Virgin, we went out for a walk to wait, and that's when we came across the Virgen del Valle empanada boulevard, a well-known place here on the island because it's the ideal place to eat something if you visit the basilica. We went in, and although we didn't know where to sit because there are many stalls, each offering something different, almost all of them share the same food: empanadas. So we sat down at Edalis' empanada stand and had empanadas with malt and papelón con limón for breakfast. Personally, I really liked them, especially with their sauce.

Para empezar ese día decidimos ir al Valle porque ya faltaba poco para la subida de la Virgen, así que queramos verla antes de eso, y pues sin planearlo llegamos a la iglesia justo cuando estaba empezando la misa, así que al inicio como ya la iglesia está llena nos quedamos por la entrada escuchando, pero ya luego si nos pudimos sentar, y como vimos que se hizo una cola algo larga para pasar a ver a la Virgen, salimos a dar una vuelta para esperar y en eso se nos cruzo el boulevard de las empanadas de la Virgen del Valle, lugar muy conocido aquí en la isla porque es el lugar ideal para comerte algo si visitas la basílica, entramos, y aunque no sabíamos en donde sentarnos porque son muchos puestos en los que cada uno te puede ofrecer algo diferente pero casi todos comparten la misma comida, las empanadas. Así que nos sentamos en el puesto de las empanadas de Edalis y desayunamos unas empanadas con malta y papelón con limón; a mí en lo personal me gustaron mucho y más con su salsa.

After enjoying the delicious empanadas, we returned to the church and were able to join the line, which was very short, to stand in front of the Virgin of the Valley for a while and appreciate her up close. Then we took advantage of the opportunity to walk around the plaza. I even remember that during those days there were images of Dr. José Gregorio Hernández in the church because he was about to be beatified or had already been beatified. Well, friends, I have to tell you that I haven't been around much in the last few months because I've been very busy working, and when I did have time, I took advantage of it to be with my family and rest. But I've set myself the goal of being here as often as I can, and even though I don't have much free time right now, I'll do my best to be here from time to time. Even though I haven't posted anything, I've taken some photos to show you and tell you other things. I hope it won't be long before I can publish my next post! Luego de las ricas empanadas, regresamos a la iglesia y pudimos hacer la fila, que fue supercorta, para poder estar enfrente de la Virgen del Valle un rato y poder apreciarla de muy cerca; ya luego aprovechamos y estuvimos caminando por la plaza; incluso recuerdo que esos días había imágenes del doctor José Gregorio Hernández por la iglesia porque estaba próximo a su beatificación o ya había sido beatificado. Bueno amigos les cuento que desde hace unos meses no he estado tan presente y es porque he estado muy ocupada trabajando, y si tenia tiempo aprovechaba de estar con mi familia y descansar, pero me he puesto la meta de seguir por acá lo más seguido que pueda y aunque ahorita no es que este mucho más libre voy a hacer lo posible por estar por aquí de vez en cuando, igual aunque no haya publicado si he tomado algunas fotos para luego enseñarles y contarles otras cosas, espero no tardar en poder publicar mi próximo post! espero que se encuentren muy bien y tengan un buen fin de semana, muchas gracias por leer hasta aquí.
