The Eliminator Match of the Big Bash League 2021-22 was played today between Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne. In which Adelaide Strikers beats Hobart Hurricanes by 22 runs.

Adelaide Strikers batted first after winning the toss, started the inning brilliantly, Alex Carey and Matthew Short came to start the inning and gave a very brilliant start with century partnership of 145 runs for the first, the first wicket has gone for 145 runs in second ball of the 15th over, Alex Carey dismissed after playing a very brilliant half-century inning of 67 runs with the help of 8 boundaries in just 67 balls, next batsman Travis Head came to bat, after few moments the second has also gone for 164 runs in last ball of the 16th over, Matthew Short dismissed after playing a very brilliant quick half-century inning of 89 runs with the help of 6 sixes and 4 boundaries in just 48 balls, after that wicket fallen started, the third wicket has gone for 169 runs in second ball of the 18th over, Travis Head dismissed just for 5 runs, the fourth wicket has also gone for 169 runs in fouth ball of the 18th over, Ian Cockbain dismissed just for 3 runs, the fifth wicket has gone for 179 runs in first ball of the final over, Matt Renshaw dismissed just for 7 runs, sixth wicket has gone for 184 runs in fifth ball of the final over, Thomas Kelly dismissed without scoring, Thornton remains unbeaten without playing a ball with Jonathan Wells, and Jonathan Wells also remains unbeaten for 12 runs in 8 balls. In this way, Adelaide Strikers won the toss and elect the bat first, scored 188 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in stipulated 20 overs, and set a target of 189 in front of Hobart Hurricanes.
