Mumbai Indians started very well, However, the first wicket fell too early as Quinton de Kock, after that Rohit Sharma played a brilliant half-century inning of 70 runs in 45 balls, Suryakumar Yadav 10 runs in 7 balls, Ishan Kishan 28 runs in 32 balls, Kiran Pollard unbeaten 47 runs in 20 balls, and Hardik Pandya scored unbeaten 30 runs in 11 balls, thus Mumbai Indians batted first after lost the toss, scored affordable 191 runs after losing 4 wickets in perfectible 20 over, and set a target of 192 runs for Kings XI Punjab.
