I was reading some other #sublimesunday post including one from an old friend @bluemoon on an epic park walk in Bucharest. Plenty of autumn colours and a little foreshadowing that winter may be around the corner.

Not sure if you can tell by the picture but we are rounding that corner in Canadia right about now. A little accumulating snow for the first time this fall.

Perhaps it was not to be a day spent walking around like other Sundays, but I had a pile on my plate. I generally like to sit on my thumb on Sundays and languish before the standard work week starts. Mine started with a little room cleaning then a visit with these folks.

We were gathered like we do once or twice a year at https://Stratfordbjj.com for our instructors course. Being a small business, the owner and our lead instructor leans on the leaders and senior belts to help instruct and onboard new clients/students. It is an honour to be called on, a nice thing to do for the universe, and a great chance to practice martial arts instruction and leadership skills.

Great group of leaders here and it is nice to be a part of the crew.

Next up was a little taxi duty for one of my little ones, then to a client https://rajastratford.ca for a buffet photo shoot!

What better start to your meal than shrimp and chicken pakoras for appetizers?

This pond of deliciousness is one of the most universally loved Indian dishes. While vindaloo may be for veterans and lovers of hot spice, butter chicken is mild and zesty and the gateway dish for those who would like to sneak up on a love for Indian food.

There are so many varied and scrumptious vegetarian dishes to make sure your plat is filled with nutritious colour.

This is a creative and exotic curried stir fry of chicken and oysters! Thankfully chicken doesn’t agree with me or else I would have had to try oysters after decades of avoiding them.

There were a good number of desserts as well including my favourite, Gulab Jamen. Fritters or whatever they are, I describe them as pancake balls in a relatively light and delicious syrup. Delicious!

Besides food and ambiance, this place also has wine for days.

After this pit stop, it was back to winter weather. Another client visit, a couple more hours of taxi duty so the kids could make the most out of their #sublimesunday, a little computer hardware shopping, and finally, a well deserved rest.

You know I will insert a beer into any post and today is a par for the course. This nice ale is part of a party/holiday/mix pack I hope to power through this week in time to present it on #beersaturday.
