#SublimeSunday - Mothers-day!

avatar

What could make a better Sublime Sunday than celebrating mother?

The weather cordially cooperated as it was a sunny and mild spring day.

First up, my little one volunteered with the school greenhouse for their yearly fundraiser sale. Volunteering your time to help raise funds for the school and help distribute the foods and other plants to the community. Proud of her.

It was also mothers-day for a couple of our restaurant clients so a little last minute promotion would help them make a little more money. Delicious looking Thai crab dishes were the mothers-day treat for some lucky mother.

It was my turn to get into the kitchen and put together a mothers-day treat for my better half.

The kids suggested enchiladas. The challenge with that is that one is a vegetarian, and the other is the opposite. So, I had to cook up something delicious for each.

The vegetarian one boasted peppers, onions, broccoli, black beans and the standard cheese, enchilada sauce and a bit of fresh chopped cilantro.

The meatetarian version had fewer no peppers and fewer onions but equal the broccoli and the addition of ground beef.

Both tasted damn good if you ask me!

After a few gifts for mom, we busted out her favourite ice cream cake normally reserved for birthdays. Hopefully I earned a bunch of wifepoints and we made her happy for a Sublime Mothers Day.

It's wonderful feeling to make donations of food and plants, as it is a love that is instilled in hearts of the weak people of society. The cake is very tasty and looks amazing, I love eating broccoli and peppers.
Wish you happy moments with good start of the week❤️

Yes volunteering is fantastic especially at a young age. When you get to couple that with a passion for gardening and growing, makes for a proud mother too.

A mother's joy is great when she finds happiness on her children's faces. Ice cream cake is the best gift and don't forget red roses. good morning 🌹

You earn them at a deflated rate on that day (because it is expected) but a good amount. Just bought here concert tickets for Friday night too so starting to stack em up!

would it earn a husband good WifePoints© if cooked for you? That is the real question!

Absolutely! When my husband was alive, he enjoyed cooking. Well, he did not cook at all when we first met. However, he loved slicing & chopping veggies when I cooked, which was a big help to me. Then, he found the FoodNetwork on cable one day and was fascinated by it. He started experimenting in the kitchen and got pretty good at following recipes and making tasty meals! Cleaning up after him was quite the chore, as he often used every available pot, pan, bowl, knife, and spoon in the kitchen. 😂 But, he still earned plenty of points! 😁
