The recommended amount of sleep for adults is somewhere between seven and nine hours per night. Because of your level of stress, you will almost certainly find that you sleep much less than normal, and the sleep that you do get will almost certainly be of a much lower quality. You've probably already figured out that this will add even more pressure to an already stressful situation in your life.

Because of this, you need to make a serious commitment to getting up earlier and sleeping in a way that allows you to get a better night's rest. It's possible that if you do yoga or meditate on a regular basis, it will help you sleep better at night. Put away all of your electronic devices before going to bed and read a book instead of staring at a screen so that you can unwind and get ready for sleep. You'll find that this makes it easier to relax and get ready for bed.
