Bienvenidos, amigos Hivers de Hiverun, es un gusto compartir con ustedes en el día de hoy. Esta semana ha sido bastante sencilla con respecto a las carreras de largas distancias; últimamente he hecho lo máximo para poder hacer 10 kilómetros en los dos días de mi entrenamiento de la semana. No es algo fácil, porque también hago pesas y otros ejercicios. Pero el "que quiere, puede". Así que sí o sí tenía que volver a normal los 10 km, hacerle entender a mi mente que de ahora en adelante va a ser de esta manera, obteniendo así más resistencia y construyendo una nueva mentalidad para correr durante una hora sin parar.
Welcome, fellow Hivers from Hiverun. It is a pleasure to share with you today. This week has been fairly straightforward in terms of long-distance running; lately, I have been doing my best to run 10 kilometres on the two days of my weekly training. It's not easy, because I also do weight training and other exercises. But where there's a will, there's a way. So I had to get back to running 10 kilometres regularly, to make my mind understand that from now on this is how it's going to be, thus gaining more endurance and building a new mindset to run for an hour without stopping.

Entre los días martes y viernes, hice las dos carreras, algo parecidas en tiempo, solo que en la de ayer duré un poco más de tiempo corriendo que la del martes. El día martes decidí no ir al gimnasio y concentrarme al 100% en la carrera; tenía algo de cansancio ese día por la universidad, pero mantuve un buen ritmo. He notado que mi velocidad ha subido con el paso de las semanas y mis resultados de Strava van mejorando de a poco, pero esa pequeña diferencia, por muy pequeña que sea, cambia todo. La ruta es la misma que había hecho anteriormente, desde mi parque hasta el centro comercial Las Américas (ida y vuelta).
Between Tuesday and Friday, I did both runs, which were similar in terms of time, except that yesterday's run took me a little longer than Tuesday's. On Tuesday, I decided not to go to the gym and to focus 100% on the run; I was a little tired that day because of university, but I kept up a good pace. I've noticed that my speed has increased over the weeks and my Strava results are slowly improving, but that small difference, however small, changes everything. The route is the same as I had done before, from my park to the Las Américas shopping centre (there and back).

Ahora bajo por el barrio Los Olivos, lo que hace obtener 500 o 600 metros de más. Las dos carreras fueron a un ritmo parecido; no he llegado al ritmo de 5:30 en esta distancia, pero me he mantenido entre 6:07 y 6:22 el kilómetro. Ayer sí me costó correr por el dolor del entrenamiento de las pesas del día jueves, pero no fue obstáculo para correr. Espero pronto añadir un tercer día de running en la semana; ya por lo menos tengo dos días con 10 kilómetros, esto es increíble para mí.
Now I run down through the Los Olivos neighbourhood, which adds another 500 or 600 metres. Both runs were at a similar pace; I haven't reached a pace of 5:30 for this distance, but I've stayed between 6:07 and 6:22 per kilometre. Yesterday, it was difficult to run because of the pain from Thursday's weight training, but it wasn't an obstacle to running. I hope to add a third day of running to the week soon; I already have at least two days with 10 kilometres, which is incredible for me.

Thank you very much, my friend Jesús, It really hasn't been easy to reach this level of discipline. There were times when I thought I wouldn't be able to handle the fitness world, but today, I look back and see how far I've come, and I'm impressed.
