Participando en mi primer evento de running 🔥🏃🏻 [ESP-ENG]

Bienvenidos, amigos Hivers de Hiverun, es un gusto compartir con ustedes en el día de hoy. Ayer 23 de enero del 2026, llegó la oportunidad de participar en un evento de running. Yo entreno y comparto mis rutas semanales con ustedes, pero una participación todavía no había llegado. Participé en la Ruta Nocturna de 8km organizada por el Centro Comercial Las Américas, un evento totalmente gratuito con el fin de promover el mundo running y reunir a los atletas que corremos. El encuentro era a partir de las 5:30 p. m., aunque se me atrasó todo un poco porque de repente empezó a llover fuerte.
Welcome, fellow Hivers from Hiverun. It is a pleasure to share this day with you. Yesterday, 23 January 2026, I had the opportunity to participate in a running event. I train and share my weekly routes with you, but I had not yet participated in an event. I participated in the 8km Night Run organised by Las Américas Shopping Centre, a completely free event aimed at promoting the world of running and bringing together athletes who run. The event started at 5:30 p.m., although I was a little late because it suddenly started raining heavily.

Llegué al centro comercial a eso de las 5:45 p. m.; primeramente, pasé buscando los brazaletes junto a mi amigo @abrahamjsr, que también se unió a la carrera. Nos pusieron los brazaletes y comenzó el momento de calentar. Nos llamaron a todos a la plaza central para indicarnos que teníamos que llegar a la redoma del toro, dar la vuelta, regresarnos y, apenas lleguemos, pasar por el área de fisioterapeuta para descargar los músculos. A las 6:20 pm comenzó la carrera; fue increíble la cantidad de gente que había, alrededor de mil personas; yo era el número 540.
I arrived at the shopping centre at around 5:45 p.m. First, I went to get my wristbands with my friend @abrahamjsr, who was also joining the race. They put the wristbands on us and it was time to warm up. They called us all to the central plaza to tell us that we had to get to the bull ring, turn around, come back, and, as soon as we arrived, go through the physiotherapist area to stretch our muscles. At 6:20 p.m., the race began. It was incredible how many people there were, around a thousand. I was number 540.

Al principio me concentré en mantener la zona para poder rendir; no me dejé llevar por la emoción e ir rápido. En estos 8 km hice todo lo posible para no pararme, para hacerlo de manera seguida, y así fue. Me gustó que hubiera estaciones para que te dieras cuenta de cuántos kilómetros llevaba hasta llegar al toro y regresarte. El ambiente fue espectacular; me sentí muy emocionado por estar participando. Complete los 8 km en 46 minutos, teniendo un ritmo de 6:07 el kilómetro; espero que este sea el inicio de muchos eventos running para participar a lo largo del año.
At first, I concentrated on maintaining my pace so that I could perform well; I didn't let myself get carried away by the excitement and go too fast. During these 8 km, I did everything I could to keep going without stopping, and that's how it went. I liked that there were stations so you could see how many kilometres you had covered before reaching the bull and turning back. The atmosphere was spectacular; I felt very excited to be participating. I completed the 8 km in 46 minutes, at a pace of 6:07 per kilometre; I hope this is the start of many running events to participate in throughout the year.
