Bienvenidos, amigos de Hiverun, es un gusto compartir con ustedes en el día de hoy. El día de ayer tuve nuevamente la oportunidad de participar en la segunda edición de la ruta nocturna 8 km en el centro comercial Las Américas, Maracay, Las Delicias. Un evento organizado por el mismo centro comercial con el fin de reunir a gran parte de los deportistas de la ciudad de Maracay, totalmente gratuito y con los beneficios de refrigerio e incluso descargas musculares al finalizar la carrera.
Welcome, friends of Hiverun, it is a pleasure to share this day with you. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to participate once again in the second edition of the 8 km night run at the Las Américas shopping centre in Maracay, Las Delicias. This event was organised by the shopping centre itself with the aim of bringing together many of the athletes from the city of Maracay. It was completely free of charge and included refreshments and even muscle relaxation at the end of the race.

Ayer llegué algo tarde al evento por cuestiones de transporte; sin embargo, fui lo más rápido posible para obtener mi brazalete; fui el número 1566. Había muchas personas, lo cual es algo que me gusta mucho de este tipo de eventos; personas incluso que están empezando en el mundo del running se suman a este evento saludable. Mi llegada al centro comercial fue rápida; luego del brazalete, calenté 5 minutos y me fui a correr, porque ya muchos estaban saliendo.
Yesterday I arrived a little late to the event due to transport issues; however, I went as quickly as possible to get my wristband; I was number 1566. There were lots of people, which is something I really like about this type of event; even people who are just starting out in the world of running join in this healthy event. I got to the shopping centre quickly; after getting my wristband, I warmed up for 5 minutes and went for a run, because many people were already setting off.

Los primeros 4 km los hice a un ritmo suave, manteniendo la zona 2; en algunas partes del camino a la redoma del toro hay subidas y he notado que eso me cuesta más de lo que pensaba. Quería mantener el ritmo suave para que el regreso a las Américas fuera aún más rápido, y así fue; pude mantener un ritmo mucho más rápido.
I ran the first 4 km at a gentle pace, staying in zone 2. There are some hills on the way to Redoma del Toro, and I noticed that they were harder than I thought. I wanted to keep a gentle pace so that the return to Las Américas would be even faster, and that's how it turned out. I was able to maintain a much faster pace.

Luego de los 5 km me quedaba muy poco para llegar a la meta y quedar satisfecho; me gustó la velocidad que tuve y, sobre todo, logré pasar de largo a uno de mis compañeros que llegó primero que yo. Completo los 8 km en 47 minutos, hice alrededor de 4 paradas, porque la velocidad que quería mantener no era nada fácil, pero no fue por mucho tiempo.
After 5 km, I was very close to reaching the finish line and feeling satisfied; I liked the speed I had and, above all, I managed to overtake one of my teammates who had finished ahead of me. I completed the 8 km in 47 minutes, making about four stops, because the speed I wanted to maintain was not easy, but it wasn't for long.
