Where did we were with Jordan Pelee? At the movie "Get Out", that's where! Revelation movie of the director and his resulting acclamation from critics. After a couple of years he returns with "Us" a mix of horror, action and thriller.

A marked political background of which I will carefully avoid talking so as not to ruin anything of the vision that you will do, I will limit myself in describing a fairly simple plot in broad terms and to suggest you give him an opportunity, considering that it deserves a lot in my way to see, you might find it a banal story but with high standard actors and settings.

Adelaide is a very silent little girl, her parents don't care about her, especially her father, and by pure chance she is lost among Luna Park beach by the sea, she enters in a mirrors house where she will meet herself.

A temporal break of about twenty years, Adelaide has now become an adult, married and mother of two children. The place that caused her a great emotional shock when she was child will come back as a fate's joke, this time she will have to face her biggest nightmare.

Fiction or reality? What or who has met as a child is really the identical copy of herself or will it all be the result of a child traumatized imagination by a horrible nightmare?

This movie is presented to the big public thanks to the director's previous success, all accompanied by a sarcastic vein that turns out to be very useful to break the tension, represented by Adelaide's husband, Gabe, who on every occasion will succeed in making you smile despite the splatter go-go scenes, analogous situation with previous work when the funny character was played by the best friend of the main character.

Jordan's imprint is there and it shows, if you have seen "Get Out" you will immediately understand what I am referring to, as Tarantino has his classic style of crazy exhilarating speeches, Jordan's style has many chances to enter be part of those unique directors, of which you can see their films almost in a closed box.

Dove eravamo rimasti con Jordan Pelee? Al film "Scappa", ecco dove! Pellicola rivelazione del regista, con conseguente acclamazione da parte della critica. Dopo un paio d'anni torna con "Noi" un mix di horror, azione e thriller.

Uno sfondo politico marcato del quale eviterò con cura di parlare per non rovinarvi nulla della visione che vi presterete a fare, mi limiterò nel descrivere una trama abbastanza semplice a grandi linee ed a suggerirvi di dargli un occasione, considerato che merita molto a mio modo di vedere, potreste trovare la storia banale ma attori ed ambientazioni sono di alto livello.

Adelaide é una ragazzina molto silenziosa, i genitori non hanno cura di lei, soprattutto il padre, e per puro caso si perde tra le giostre su una spiaggia in riva al mare, capitando in una casa degli specchi dove incontrerà se stessa.

Stacco temporale di una ventina di anni, Adelaide é diventata ormai adulta, sposata e madre di due figli. Il luogo che da piccola gli ha causato un grande shock emotivo gli si ripresenterà davanti come un'amaro scherzo del destino, questa volta le toccherà affrontare il suo incubo più grande.

Finzione o realtà? Ciò o chi ha incontrato da piccola é davvero la copia identica di se stessa o sarà tutto frutto dell'immaginazione di una bambina traumatizzata da un orribile incubo?

Questo film si presenta al grande pubblico forte del successo precedente del regista, il tutto accompagnato da una vena sarcastica che si rivela molto utile a spezzare la tensione rappresentata dal marito di Adelaide, Gabe, il quale in ogni occasione riuscirà a farvi scappare un sorriso nonostante le scene splatter a go-go, situazione analoga al precedente lavoro quando il personaggio divertente era interpretato dal miglior amico del protagonista.

L'impronta di Jordan c'é e si vede, se avete visto "Scappa" capirete immediatamente a cosa mi sto riferendo, come Tarantino ha il suo classico stile folle di discorsi ultra esilaranti, lo stile di Jordan ha molte chance di entrare a far parte di quei registi unici, dei quali puoi vedere i loro film praticamente a scatola chiusa.
