Actifit.io Enhancements

As usual, last week we pulled a new set of user experience enhancements to actifit.io. Our website is continuously growing in usage and visitors, so it always needs to bring a great experience to our users.

More Power to Comments

Comments on actifit.io were rather limited in comparison to other Steem front-ends out there. So last week we took them up quite a notch, by introducing the ability to actually edit and delete your comments.
This allows you from that same screen to actually adjust and/or delete this comment you wrote without the need to move to another front end, especially that editing on actifit.io allows you to earn AFIT token rewards.

While you can edit any comment you place on the blockchain, yet you can only delete a comment if it has no children, nor any payout value (0 payout). As you can see below only the last comment has the delete icon showing, while all the others have the edit icon.

Iconified Experience

As you probably spotted in the prior section, our reply "word" has now moved into a reply icon, alongside with the introduction of new icons for delete and edit.
Similarly in the activity list view, we also modified the "read more" to become an icon, and also introduced an icon at the title of each post that highlights that the title is clickable and allows opening the whole post in a separate window.

Further Markdown Enhancements

We have spotted additional issues with proper parsing markdown, particularly with links and images, and introduced fixes to better support their display.

Upcoming Short Term Plans

First and foremost, our iOS version is alsmost ready for release! We are working closely with the developer and beta testers (thank you guys .. you know yourselves .. too many to count lol) to finalize and bring our iOS users their latest update. This is expected to conclude in the coming couple of weeks.

Also in the coming two weeks (or maybe sooner), we are working on new cool features as part of our Actifit market and user experience which will make a major new aspect to Actifit. Stay tuned!

FitOctober - "Bring in Fitbit Users" Contest

Last week we announced October as our FitOctober month to bring Fitbit users to Actifit community, and Steem community at large.
The competition is running for a month, during the whole month of October. The mission is to let any Fitbit user you know (or don't know) about how they can auto-leverage their Fitbit to tap into crypto, join fitness oriented crypto community, and get rewarded for being healthy.

Competition Rules & Rewards

• Signup the new Fitbit user for free via your referral link (you need to login to find it) while using the promo code FITOCTOBER on the signup page.
• For every Fitbit user you sign up and who creates at least 2 activity reports, you will be rewarded with 10 STEEM + 100 AFIT reward. The Fitbit user will also receive an extra reward for his reports amounting to 100 AFIT after his second report during the contest time.
• The rewards will apply to the first 100 Fitbit users to reach this milestone (max rewards 1,000 STEEM + 20,000 AFIT)
• Rewards will be distributed at the end of the competition.

Social Media Promotion

To give the competition a bit more hype, we want to start pushing #FitOctober #Actifit & #Steem on social media during the contest!
For every tweet or post you make on social media with the relevant tags, you will be rewarded with 10 AFIT tokens. To be eligible, please post your link on discord under the #fitoctober-media channel.

Another Weekend - SteemFest Awaits You!

As you're probably aware, we are already running a contest alongside @Blocktrades, with the ideation by @anomadsoul

The prize includes one SteemFest ticket + accommodation.

This weekend was another chance to increase your chances of winning one SteemFest ticket + accommodation. Make sure to post via actifit within the weekend, while reaching 15,000 activity count. Share on social media with proof within the post to get another entry.

AFIT Token Stats & STEEM Payouts

During last week, our actifitters and delegators piled up more tokens. To date, Actifit has distributed more than 50 Million AFIT tokens, to 53K+ token holders and 161K+ reported activity.

We also sent out today our weekly STEEM delegators share, which went out to 599 active delegators, with a total amount of 235.613 STEEM.

P.S.: STEEM amount includes both SP and STEEM rewards for delegators, whereby each delegator receives liquid STEEM as a total for both amounts.

A kind reminder to all actifitters: some versions of esteem app still cause issues when used to edit your reports, via removing essential info Actifit uses to identify proper reports. This prevents related reports from receiving rewards.
Until this issue is officially fixed via the esteem team, we advise that you use other Steem interfaces for editing, including our own actifit.io, steemit, busy or others.

The amount of delegated SP has a large influence over not only the daily/weekly delegation reward, but also on the amount of rewards the actifitter receives on daily reports, as it constitutes a key element in User Rank.

Which is why being an Actifit delegator now has more influence on your rewards, coupled with number of AFIT tokens and other factors highlighted before.

Delegators share a max cap of 100K AFIT tokens according to their delegation amount, and also earn a 5% beneficiary reward from actifit posts' beneficiary earnings.
