NGC281 - The Pacman Nebula

Hey Steemians,

It's time for a new test post with an also new beta release of the @actifit app.
I had, totally unexpected, the chance to make a little bit astrophotography last night and to test some pieces of new equipment. I also had clear skies to get nearly 3 hours of exposure time on a new project before the fog came back. The weather forecast predicted some hours of clear sky for today, but guess what... nothing... the fog is so dense, that it is not possible to see more than 100 meters.
However, I started a new project with the Pacman Nebula and want to get at least 10+ hours of total exposure time. I hope I will get the chance to collect some photons in the next 3 to 4 weeks. This image is in an earlier processing stage, I had to crop it a lot to hide the noise dark background. Anyway, the large dust clouds in it are already good visible and also some Bok Globules. If you don't know what Bok Globules are: These are "small" and dense dust clouds, where new stars are formed. I think I will write more about them when this project is finished and I will make @steemstem post about the Pacman Nebula.
