Second SPUD Attempt + My Actifit Report Card: August 1 2019

I participated in SPUD today in my own little way

Then I saw all the posts and I got FOMO’d a little and bought some ETH to power up would you believe it took 15 mins to trade my Rands for ETH and then 44 minutes to send my ETH to steem and trade it for SP, what an absolute joke?

We want this place to moon but with such pathetic performance by the second biggest chain how can we? I hope CASPER sharding and the move to POS for ether will help it scale! Also the gas price while only $0.12 isn’t the most idea for high frequency payments they need to relook that too, or I guess I’m just spoiled using the Steem blockchain with no transaction fees

Yes it is steem power up day, join and use the SPUD tag and also tag steemleo in your post

I tried to use ETH because BTC chain is so slow and expensive, ETH used to be really fast I’m not sure why it’s so bad, my transactions are still pending

LOL I wish you could make a video and put it on dTube just run into the room, nobody panic I need to SPUD right now !

I really wish we had better mobile apps so we didn’t have to steem on the laptop so much

Well I use mobile 90% for steemit. Just Some payments with computer - and Some longer blog posts.
Do NOT like to have activekey at mobile If My son take the phone and run away. He is pretty clever

Our fiat to Dash exchanges still use bitcoin so you lose out on the fees and conversion. I know Dash now has instant send which is pretty cool, Wish we had a direct to dash exchange

Where do you change to dash? I go in Bitpanda or pro.coinbase .
Sounds as a long way going btc-dash-steem.
Time to start this PayPal way soon. But I do not know fee.
Have to try . Like - you pay me 50usd and I Send you steem instantly with dash .

I used to use coindirect for that but I’ll try coinbase! I do have paypal and it’s connected to my bank account!

If it doesn’t work I’ll send you the USD via PayPal and you can send me dash! Sometimes regions have certain restrictions!

You know South Africa isn’t the most advanced place in the world

thanks for the patience... guess that is why Vitalik was looking to work with Bitcoin Cash, but from what I understand Matic Network is supposed to make Eth fast again.

It would make sense yes, I can't imagine why people think we can handle more value with transaction times like this. We clearly need more time to solve scalability issues. Any way Im 250 STEEM closer to my goal of dolphin 1200 more to go

That’s a decent chunk, I think sub 20 will also be my next jump in, only 1.2k and I’m a dolphin so will try to do it as cheaply as possible on this home stretch!

I’m keen to see if this new generation of SP holders are going to fair better than the previous and actually push this place forward
