The Steem is dead, long live the steem
No idea how my lazy ass managed to hit 5k when I slept till 11, managed to wake up somehow and do some tasks and had a constructive day over all
now sitting and catching a nice breeze while watching episode 4 and 5 of the outsider
Now back to the title of my post, I’ve been a steemian for just over 2 years and I’ve put in time in this place and bought some steem, I’m not the biggest dick swinger here but I’ve got a little stake to throw around
As a stakeholder we’ve been promised a few things in 2020 and early 2021
- NFTs so you could start selling digital products on the chain
- Splinterlands mobile app supposed to bring in mad users
- SBD peg to give us some sort of stability
- SMTs which would allow people to make tokens and trade them on steem
- Communities, currently no support on steempeak and only accessable on beta steem
- Resource pool so stakeholders and create accounts and onboard users easily and float them SP to use the chain
- Openseed which would create light accounts, instant messaging, and easier integration on top of steem
- Quicker powedown so people wont be afraid to invest In steem power because they can get it out quicker
Lol that’s all the promises I can remember off the top of my head, is the it anything else we’ve been promised as users?
Do you think if this list gets done we will make some sort of progress? Is it all just a guessing game and we trying until something grabs hold?

Well they better get to it, it sure is a lot to get done and test and make sure it’s all good to run on the chain!
I just wonder if it’s going to move the needle they all sound like good ideas but which one will be the one that takes and clicks and starts bringing people here that’s what I want to know

I think so too, lol I think all business is a series of solve what’s in front of you and keep going we just impatient as hell in crypto coz we know what it could be and how shit the current system is if you enjoy the way things are I’m sure you couldn’t be bothered with crypto
These are some good things that are in the pipeline but I'd say that they should also create a nice interface/UX although we do have SteemPeak I suppose.
I've not really been on steemit since I found SteemPeak and I don't even use an app anymore like I used to with Partiko or esteem. Mainly time is the issue seeing as supporting Arsenal is one of the biggest energy drains evaaaaaaaa
I only use steempeak on my laptop as for my mobile I’m still using eSteem the last few updates have made it bareable to use on my iphone!
I’d like all of those tasks done as mentioned plus listening on more exchanges and compatibility with things like crypto.com and other wallets and payment methods
Let’s start closing the loop! Then the masses can come and make me a rich bitch and I can pay someone to pat myself on the back for a job well done
HAHA! I think I'd love to see Spotify embeds seeing as I've been harping on about it for over a year now. I mentioned it to travelfeed and they implemented it in less than 24 hours... it's literally an iframe for crying out loud and music curators can share their playlists.
Esteem, I used it a couple of times and couldn't bare using it still on the phone. Would sooner have SteemPeak develop an app, which I heard they might.
Patting oneself on the back is pretty hard to do, I sometimes back up in to a wall a few times but it doesn't quite have the same effect lol

It is a good question and this is why I started to spread on other crypto projects out there. I don't only focus on steem anymore but I believe it will succeed.

I don't think Steem could ever die, unless all of the dapps and users went away. There are just too many people working here to try and get things happening.
With that said, I don't know what all is working against it in the background. Could be people actively trying to bring it down, for all I know. We have a very small user base on Whaleshares and we are trying to build it back up after HF4 but it's hard when you have people actively trying to harm the platform at every turn. It's just so much easier when everyone works together.
