영어책은 아무리 쉬운 책이라도 맥을 못잡으면 잘 해석이 안 된다.
게다가 영어를 잘 못하는 외국인이 영어를 할 경우 우리가 알고 있는 스펠링으로 써 있지 않을 때가 있다.
예를 들어 한국말의 경우에 사투리 같은 걸 그대로 적는 것과 같은 이치이다.
그런 경우는 어린이 책도 해석하기 매우 어렵고 난감하다.
오늘 읽은 영어책에서 학교 청소부가 “Whadda ya think I’m doin’?”라고 말하는데, 이런 경우 어떻게 읽어야 할지 모르겠다.
어렵다. ㅠ
