You must have sent the rain here, we are supposed to be wet for the next week.

The VW shows some rustout repairs, so they are working at fixing her....

Thanks for the rain, LOL.

Body work takes a lot of time, but the results can be amazing! Rust outs are the worst....

Me too, but the interesting ones all seem to have rust....

They just need some Love! I am working on the heads for an 1984 944. It is a nice ride. We just replaced the floor pan in my 1990 Range Rover (over the converter) when I get the repaired alternator installed, it will be back on the road.

That's very true, Hope the heads come up well on the 944 and may the Range Rover be up and running very soon :)

(Edited)

Zero clearance engine in the 944, and the valves got bent in cylinders one and four. Last time I let anyone else work on my cars, he overtightened the timing belt, and it failed. I own a machine shop, so I will fit the new valves myself.

The Range Rover is for pulling my trailers, and it runs well. Just pulled the alternator, had to put new bearings in it. Just haven't found the time to reinstall it yet.

That's no good and that's one of the main reasons I do around 95% of work on my car's and house etc.

Me too, that way it is the way I want it. Never saves time to have someone else do the work, because I have to fix what they did anyway!

But my Son will be here tomorrow, and we will work on his '73 Mercedes 280 se. It had an under hood fire and we are putting in all new injectors and rails. He also just got two new kick panels for her, so we can fix some rustouts too!

This one is a sweet ride, and she is not badly hurt, so we'll get her fixed!

I am sure there will be problems, but we can fire up the shop, if we need to. If that happens, we will be ready for WAR, LOL!

But My Son is a good mechanic too....
