A Caturday Tour - Actifit: January 25 2020
The topic of this post is my silly cat, and the many places she sleeps and hangs out. While this is also my actifit post for today, and I hit my goal of 10k steps by shopping and cleaning house, I’m dedicating the post to the #caturday tag.
Our family gets a lot of giggles out of our pet antics. We have a dog and two cats, an aquatic turtle and two geckos.
Don’t tell the other pets, but Angel, our tabby, has always been a top favorite.
Every day we find her napping in a different place. She has some favorite spots like the back of the couch. But she also favors random spots in the middle of the floor.
Even the hardwood floor!
One time we found her sleeping next to the coffee pot.
Another time she climbed into the basket where I keep the onions and garlic. I happened to be out of them, and she could not resist climbing into the empty basket.
On a chilly day she also likes to sleep on the heating vent.
And of course there's the cat tree.
At Christmas, she adopted a place under the tree, and only came out when necessary.
Once she turned up on an old couch in our storage room.
And in nicer weather, her favorite place is the sun-warmed mulch in the garden.
She does do things besides sleep! She occasionally makes her presence known when someone is trying to enjoy a meal!
She is getting on in years, but she still likes to play.
Did I mention she can read?

Excellent job with your 10241 @actifit steps @jayna! I LOVE kitties, and yours are very cute! How funny, the way she pics places to sleep. I have kitties; actually 3 of them, but one is very elderly, and the other two are much younger boys. Our boys are a bit on the crazy side. Often you might think we have a herd of horses in the house! They provide so much entertainment, as I'm sure yours do. Life just wouldn't be the same if we were cat-less. Yes, they really are so much fun, aren't they? I have always been a huge cat fan, and there have been few times in my life when I didn't have a cat. We added a dog to the mix because our kids were begging for one and all their friends had dogs, so we finally succumbed. And my dog is just as much a part of the family as the kitties. She really won me over! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Ha ha - yes, they are crazy sometimes! It's like they like to pretend that something is after them. I love their crazy antics. And they definitely make an Actifiter proud!

It's hilarious. I know! Anything they can climb into is great for a cat. I used to clean houses when I was young and this one woman had an entire tube gym for her cats. (Lots of money, no kids...!) Thanks for the curation, hon!
Love the cat pics. Especially love the pics by the coffee pot and in the basket. All your animals, minus the geckos and turtle, look great. Nothing against turtles and geckos, just couldn't see them and...they're turtles and geckos.
We have two rescue cats, Sassy and Simba. Sassy is older and Simba is a couple months. Sassy hates Simba and they are constantly fighting. Actually, I think Simba is just trying to play and Sassy is a grumpy old curmudgeon. There is nothing like hearing that loud shrill cat fight sound in the middle of the night :-)
Oh, and we have four dogs and fish too :-)
Oh I remember that scenario! We got Angel as a kitten and we had an older cat at the time. They were a terrible mismatch for each other and there was a lot of fighting. We kept saying to our older cat, "you were young and crazy once too. Don't you remember?" Wow, four dogs? That's a lot of dogs. I have to say the turtle and the geckos are the lowest maintenance pets I have ever owned!

I love cats! I have found most have personalities that are larger than they are. They are funny, loving and always willing to break in a new napping place. The one in the mulch made me laugh because that is where my kitty loved the best in the summers.
Your little tabby is so adorable and I'm sure a real joy to have around. Thank goodness they are so cute, otherwise, they would be in big trouble most days!
