We sell our essence by the hour. We pretend its sane to chase zeros with decimal tails."

This quote sent chills down my spine. Not because it is scary, but because it is scarily true.
It made me pray before I eat, that I will lose sight of the sacred for the $ sign.

Yea this idea was pretty well developed in the 60's, that capitalism assigns an exchange value to everything (including reason!). You should check out a book called One Dimensional Man if you're interested in that stuff!

Oh my goodness, this quote is frightening, and unfortunately rings so true in this world. We must never learn about how blessed we are and the number of priceless things we have in our lives. What a wonderful reminder to take time to be thankful, gracious and generous with ourselves to thoses around us every day :) Thank you @joeylim
