My Actifit Report Card: September 11 2019
I definitely got my workouts done today. I walked so much that I thought my legs were going to become rubber. I also did some stretches this morning because I did not sleep well at all - all week long. I am thankful for the workouts that I got in today for sure.
Today was a somber day for our country. Eighteen years ago, I was at work in Plano, Texas when my coworker came over super frantic (he has always been that way, but that day it was turned up 100 times). He said, “Someone is bombing us in New York! Go to the Internet.” I did, and was horrified to watch what was unfolding that morning. None of us got any work done that day. We were all glued to our computer screens, watching the news footage live.
I am grateful to those who risked their lives to save people in the buildings, continuously praying for the families who lost loved ones that day and the days to follow, and thankful to those who fought to bring bin Laden to justice. I know that I will never forget.
