My Actifit Report Card: July 20 2019
Today I could have cooked eggs on my deck. Seriously. It reached 98 degrees and my deck is made of the plastic stuff so it’s usually at least 20 degrees hotter than the yard. I’ve burned my feet on it before. But I didn’t make eggs. I stayed in the basement for most of the day posting stuff to eBay. But once the sun started to go down I knew I had to get out.
It was still in the low eighties but it felt better than during the day. It was also dark. I love walking in the dark as most times it’s still light enough to see our road unless it’s too cloudy or a new moon. I put on my reflective vest and grabbed a traffic baton - you know the red light ones the cops use- and headed out. I had my phone but forgot the flashlight. Usually it’s no problem but twice tonight I heard some major movement in the woods. Not much to be scared of here except getting between a bear and her cubs. And we’ve had lots of bear sightings this year. Fortunately whatever they were I passed by without incident.
The sad thing was it was too dark for me to take photos. So I’ve included a few from our adventure playing Wizards Unite last night and our stop at the gas station for refreshments. The sky was amazingly beautiful. All the photos are from my iPhone 7 Plus with HDR turned on. I don’t have any idea what I’m doing with photography but I just knew I needed to capture the colors. No enhancements or changes made other than cropping.
This last one I used the digital zoom so it’s more grainy but still cool colors.
