Yes, I heard the reward is from 5k steps. I gave up on counting. 50% of the time my phone counts nothing and I am tired of dragging it around if I am outside with the dogs or gardening. I use it for posting and if it registrates the 5k I see it as a plus.

Oh I am so sorry to hear that :( Maybe there is something or maybe there is a solution... I will check out the problem...
I doubt there is. This is the second phone I use. Whole summer I had to now my large garden pushing the lawn mower with one hand and holding the phone in my other hand while swinging it. That is no fun.
Lately I walked and worked for 5 hours outside and it only counted 15 steps. It does not registrate in my pocket, not handbag or anything else.
