My Actifit Report Card: August 26 2019

Needle work art

I will share a couple of shots of some more needlework art I came across in NYC to start this post, and it can also be a submission for NeedleworkMonday hosted by @crosheille

I came across these two pieces one morning when I was walking from the 125th Street Train Station to the office and came across these and had to get a shot of each to share.
The first is a flower design on a fence

Now I will share a few shots taken today with my iPhone showing my walk today

This morning I didn't walk to far but went for about 5000 Steps before work to see how my knee coped, and it did fairly well for the most part, but glad I didn't get carried away and do much more before work, the rest of my steps are around the office, out to lunch and to and from the train.

Speaking of the train, this morning when I got to Grand Central I jumped on the Subway 6 Train and took a ride up to Wall Street stop.

Speaking of Wall Street I did walk past the Stock Exchange this morning, this was around 7AM hence not to many people in this area a little later in the day it will be crowded

IN a comment or reply recently I commented that I seldom take selfies, so i thought i would slip in a selfie today

OK I concede not a real selfie as most people see it, but I am reflected in the doorway but I placed myself so my face was hidden, and I am not sure what happened with my right leg, I can see my shoe, but my leg seems to have disappeared

I came across these temporary Murals in Albany Park near the World Trade Centre that I thought were pretty cool i took shots of them with my Sony for a future post.

That subway/ train pic!!! We DO NOT have anything like that here. We just got the sun rail not too long ago but it still doesn't resemble anything like that... Nice!

the subway doesn't always look this good this was early morning when It was quiet, during peak hours the cars are packed and in the heat of summer you feel like a sardine in a can LOL

Oh!!! How I wish the Metro was looking like that! Even the VRE - you are lucky to not get an elbow in the face if you are standing. Well, to be fair, there is standing room only for most of the way.

However, you totally win. :)

Great shots and I love the oculus and the world trade center shot and the selfie and the murals... and wall street...

Well, to be fair, I loved it all!

Thanks so much was a good day and I didn't get to carried away with walking today :)

trust me the subway is not always this quiet that shot was before 7Am, by the time I caught one back to the office it was getting packed and by leak hours passengers are squeezed in like Sardines

there will be future posts of the murals and World trade Centre ;)

In the right light the new iphone does pretty well I must say, and yes most of my photos are taken in the early morning

Great selfie - very subtle :)
These are lovely photographs and so interesting to see the city at a different time of day. I love the train one and the Oculus.

LOL I hate being in front of the camera so any selfies from me with be like this LOL
Ad the time of day your walking in the city can really change the whole feel of the place

Haha, that is a pretty awesome selfie! Nice job. Those needleworks are cool. My mom taught me to do some when I was younger, but nothing as elaborate or creative as that! Nice shots!

Great step count with a sore knee!! It is interesting to see that nobody in the train is even remotely aware that you took a photo!! I sometimes feel a bit embarrassed to take photos of random people, and always try to do it without being noticed!!

thanks the knee is getting better after some quiet days I may step it up tomorrow, although I did more than I thought i had today

I to feel so awkward taking photos of people, but snuck this one in subtly as they were all so busy doing whatever they were doing no one noticed me take it :)

Wow! That needlework is amazing @tattoodjay! Is it done around the fencing? Crazy creative people :) Looks like you still covered quite a bit of area on your walk today, take it easy on the knee. You've got lots of ground to cover, lol

Yes it looked ot me like it was actually done right onto the fence, the creativity of people with art like this always impresses me

I have been taking it easy on my knee for me, today its feeling almost 100% so I think I can step it up a little if I want to :)

Hahaha, a nice selfie JJ.
That needlework is so intricate and none of the train riders are in conversation.
Great shots as usual and the Trade Center Tower is so imposing.

Ohh yeah it was totally quiet on the train they were all in their own worlds, and that Raton the fence the time that someone must have put into it was impressive

LOL My Mum did try and teach all of us knitting and crochet but I was terrible at it, but I have done many Cross stiches in my time and was good at that

Good for you! One of my uncles used to like knitting! I used to do it all once upon a time, but not so much now, I started to knit some scarves for the homeless in our area last year. I really should finish them for this winter!

When I got back into photography time for Cross stitch fell away that would be great to finish the scarves for the homeless thats such a nice thing to do

Maybe I should do that when I'm watching TV instead of playing Words with Friends on my Kindle. LOL! On the other hand, thayt's my only game and I enjoy it!
