For the Birds

A quiet day again activity wise, mainly just walking to and from the office giving my legs a rest for another day, but it was a nice day so after lunch I went for a little stroll, took it nice and easy compared to how I normally walk, but walked about 2 to 3K steps and my legs didn't bother me too much so I think the takin git easy ie helping, may try a walk tomorrow morning at the beach and see how it goes, but nothing crazy.

Was a good day at work, have a Video Conferencing Terminal in my office now so pretty much all set up, just hope I don't get moved again too soon LOL

Today's post is as Usual an actifit post but also for Feathered Friday now hosted by @melinda010100, and I will start with a few shots from Milford a little while ago which I had forgotten I had till I saw her Post last night which prompted me to see if I had any Bird photos to share and found these shots to Share

Starting with this shot of a swan approaching the bank of the river near the Boat dock in downtown Milford

These shots were taken a while back in early spring and as I walked arund a bit I noticed it wasnt just one swan, but a family outing

The Cygnets were hiding behind one of the parent swans inthe last shot so I moved along the river side a bit further and got this shot of them

And that's all of the swans now on to the shots I got today

Rats of the sky

One Bird you see a lot of in the city is pigeons, often called by many Rats of the sky, they move so much the shots aren’t greta but I thought I would stick with al shots being Feathered Friday related

And why do many call them rats of the sky, well some say they carry disease, but also because you often see them scavenging around rubbish bins as in this next photo

I am not a big fan of the pigeons myself, have had one fly into my head one day and also on a couple of times make a deposit from above that landed on me LOL

And that’s all folks

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Haha! Yeah, pigeon poop would be nasty! They certainly have adapted well to living among people! Great photos! I love the little swans. Thanks for posting to #featheredfriday.

@tattoodjay great pictures, pigeons can poop a lot. We raised two of them, I do not need to say more. I love the swan family. Glad to hear your legs feel better.

Swans are so graceful, seeing the whole family what a lovely sight. A bird we do not get down south at all.

Pigeons are around I think international birds of the cities, thankfully we have more doves in our area, have a wonderful day relaxing and recovering.

Ohh yes especially in the water they way they glide so gracefully in the water

and I think you are right there are pigeons in every city of the world, they are truly international
Thanks I have been sensible with my legs I think its a side affetc of one of my meds from reading up online, so I just have to pace myself these days

I think that is definitely another reason they call them rats of the sky... They just poop everywhere. It is horrible. I guess that could be said of any bird really :)
