I’m not going to beg an upvote to anyone...(My Actifit Report Card: September 29 2019
End of our short weekend visit to Florence, already at the airport waiting for a late flight back Barcelona.
As usual, I’m enjoying so much from posts I read in my feed and also lately at the new, hot and trending pages, interacting as much as possible with the available time...
But there is something that is shocking me...
I have read a few posts with the #newsteem tag written by some old famous and succeed well known members of this Blockchain offering the possibility to others “undiscovered” steemians to get enrolled on the new curation bots ( old bid bots in the past).
Of course, they are asking you only to put in comments your “undiscovered” post or Steem profile and, according to them, they will analyze if you deserve or not to be “whitelisted” in the massive “curation bot” and maybe then, you could enter in the recurrent curation work of the bot.
if, conversely, they find that you have to improve on your writing or your content or the “quality” that your posts need to achieve in order to get whitelisted, they would give you some advice on the points to fix...
I feel as the new big actors, owners of these new “curation bots” are just behaving like how to be judges here or a kind of steem godness...trying to impose the standards to all of us...
Of course, they are the new power of the Blockchain and they think they can judge the others while they are doing exactly the same, publishing a post about their curation rules and get 20$ in 20’ without no one complaining about...
Why your shitpost is better than mine?
Do you deserve to get 20$ asking the people to “beg” in order to be whitelisted?
Oh, sorry, you are right, you are using your power just to get on top of the trending page and so, reach more people...
I’m proud to have the followers I have, sometimes I have better things to say than others, and sometimes I get better upvotes than others, that’s all and I like this way.
I’m not going to beg anyone in order to be whitelisted in any of these initiatives.
Do your work yourself, apply your standards, I am doing the same but don’t try to impose yours on me.
And now let me share with you a photography I did this morning...I guess you know where I did it if you follow me...
That's one reason for me to say that Steem is not fully decentralized and also another reason for me to claim that I hate bid bots and I don't need their pity. Now all of a sudden after the hardfork and this #newsteem thing they are randomly casting votes, but I still consider this as a way of advertising their services. Don't like them and consider that they're some of the most harmful factors for ruining Steem as a social media platform. Hope that doesn't happen. I like organic things and I consider that whatever hits the trending page should be upvoted by people who liked it and not by paid votes. I've noticed recently that the trending page is no longer full with promoted posts but it's not entirely clean either. Never agreed ass licking and not gonna start now with doing this thing that you mentioned about in the post. That's my opinion. Thumbs up for sharing yours and sticking to your style and not trying to fit patterns and please curators.
I will keep being myself here or anywhere...

I usually ignore actifit posts, not sure why I opened this one...
It's a nice rant... not sure how to fix all the issues of "I can't get discovered"
and then taking that to mean... people are asking you to beg.
Seems also like if you worked to build and audience and held steem and are trying to be engaging you also can't win...
No one can win... ever... breaks into tears..

I’m keeping building my audience and I have never powered down since 28 months ago, when I started, and helping others and engaging as much as possible, believe me...but today after reading that post I felt as I need to write my opinion about.

So, you write your opinion in another post without linking to the original one or tagging the author? Hmm, sounds like you just wanted a reason to post whatever you could think of.
You have an opinion about something yet you let your readers read your biased argument without letting them read the other side and then judge if you are just salty or if you have an actual opinion (or if it's just ranting for the sake of ranting).

This post is aimed at me. Feel free to tag me, I won't downvote you for expressing your opinion. Tagging me would actually encourage Dialoge and a conversation around the topic.
But no, you just want to whine, criticize and rant about any topic to be able to post content - very meh, by the way - and mine whatever rewards you can get.
I would encourage you to, before taking shit about me, my post and the curation project I'm part of, check who I am, what I post (and for how long) and my story.
You wouldn't criticize that I want to advice content creators on how to improve their posts if you saw that I've made more than 30k steem in post rewards since I began with 0 steem this account in May 2017.
You wouldn't say we are asking people to beg for votes, if you realized that since December 2017, when I got a 250k delegation, I've been encouraging people to share their work and to "be discovered". Sometimes all it takes is to "sell yourself a bit" so people actually find out what you post about. That "beg for votes" mentality only talks about how negative and toxic you see an action. Where I see content discovery that I might have missed, you see vote begging, no wonder you are sore
You criticize other people shouldn't have a say in what gets a $20 vote. Well, when you have dedicate 2 hours a day, every day for more than 2 years to find content on Steem, perhaps you'll understand.
To finalize. We don't impose standards. Anyone can post whatever they want, but we will only curate posts with certain quality. If that, for you, is imposing standards then my friend, you are even more negative than I thought.
First of all, I’m not negative at all my friend and I don’t have a LOSER mentality. I am happy and proud steemian always encouraging people to do their best for the Blockchain. I know who you are since I started at the very same time as you did. I think you were a good content creator at that time and I’m sure you still are now but I simply disagree with your post and give my opinion about.
