Mama Deer and Young one

avatar

This Mama Mule deer and her triplets have been hanging around the yard frequently, nearly everyday this week in the afternoon. Just the One young one close by today. It's a very curious one, it almost walked up to the front door yesterday (within 5 steps), but I didn't have the phone handy.

I enjoy seeing them often, they frequently are hanging out in near the driveway when I go for my Actifit walks and easily within 10-20 feet of them quite a bit. Not often that a mama will have triplets, these are old enough to have lost spots, but probably still under a year.

Lol, that's how I think of them now. Haven't started feeding them yet. But that may be coming. The pond has kind of served that purpose of becoming one of their main watering holes.

Triplets are very rare! Although taking over another doe's baby is not. But, I like the idea of triplets better.

Nice shots and I cannot believe how lucky you are to have them stay so close and not spook!

I love it!!!
