Apr. 27, 21: Routine, Short Walk Downtown, Garage Putzing, Yard Work, and Games

Did the usual morning routine with a fairly late start today. Slept in until six thirty! But I was still an hour short. I did drag some today, but I powered through and didn’t even slack in front of the tube! 💪

Volumes declined again in the crypto markets. Seeing some recovery...moving in the right direction at least, but doesn’t have the power behind it like that last downspike had. HIVE hasn’t gone back to 900 Sats yet, but it’s well on its way.

Did my post and messed around on Discord, spent a ton of time staking tiny fractions of H-E tokens, but I did sell some SOL to a new member and got them set up. ☀️👍

Had the water bill sitting there needing to be paid (only bill besides taxes I have to physically pay with a check 😡), so I did a quick walk downtown. I suppose I probably should have fired up the map, but it was only about three kilometers or so, so not a “proper” walk.

At that point I started to lose gumption, but instead of giving into it, I decided to try and find some small job to tackle. Headed out to the garage and putzed around for a while. Started getting things picked up a bit from just sort of chucking stuff out there over the winter.

Spent some time processing the copper piping they pulled out when we removed the air conditioner. Start to finish I got the whole pipe done, broken into one to two inch pieces that are flattened...should be easy to get in a crucible. 😁

Tore apart the rest of the old toaster oven, pulled all the wiring for salvage, and got it thrown out...cleaned the pile of wire sheathing that was built up from stripping wire last year, and all the while blasted some old schooly “classic rock” on the radio. 😃

Grabbed a sandwich and was starting to drag again...it was quite sunny and nice outside, though, and there were some big, nasty weeds leftover from last summer (like an inch or more in diameter sapsucker bastards). Didn’t work too terribly long out there, though, because my back began to bug me a little, but got nearly all of it out that needed to be cut out.

Another day with no work on the website...feeling Uber bad about it and it’s really nagging; need to get some more done on that!

Wenche made a yummy farmer’s omelette for dinner with leftover veggies and potatoes we had in the fridge. Played some Splinterlands and did a few laps, just to get solidly over my ten k for the day and before you know it, a couple of random shows on the TV, and boom asleep again.

I don’t really know what all happened in dCity...there’s no map anymore as far as I can find, it’s all just database info presentation now:

No crime, but a crisis I guess...seems like making it just a bunch of numbers is going to make it easier to distance myself from caring about it, at least before there was the lazy fa-icons visual representation.

Man! I had the top spot for a while on Holybread, but I got knocked back. No problem getting my tasks done today.

I’ve gotten a couple brews done on CryptoBrewmaster the past few days, so just recovering ingredients today. I did think of it several times throughout the day again and so got three or four ingredients saved up already. Still trying to force myself to care about this one.

Having lost out of Diamond, I really had no choice but to play Splinterlands today (or get drilled hard on the reset).

Kind of kept losing back and forth in and out of Diamond, but I was able to get back up and complete the Dragon quest I had outstanding.

I did end up going into the market today and buying a bunch of the Life splinter Slug with opportunity...it gets scavenge as well, so like the Earth Vulture (just more expensive to summon), but I didn’t quite get enough to level it up that far; started to get slippage in the price.

Got my stats for the last week. Friggin’ red flags all over the place. Once again, basically the only green arrow I got was sleep, which is a joke and a slap in the face because it means I slept away half the days. 😡😭
