July 13, 21: AutomaticWin, DoubleDay, Oculus, TV, and Games

Hrm, as I reflect on today, I’m a bit disappointed…didn’t really accomplish much to speak of other than some minor chores and little things on the to-do list (like mail in a rebate form). Still, I did continue my #AutomaticWin and #DoubleDay streaks, so I suppose that’s something; pushed the #DoubleDay way beyond my previous longest streak!

Only about half an hour short on sleep tonight, but I might call it close. Didn’t drag too bad and made it through without crashing; also not all that motivated to accomplish much, so there’s that.

Did the usual morning routine and the crypto markets were looking pretty red. The value of my collateral on Aave had fallen enough to put my risk profile into orange so I took action (hopefully temporary) to rectify it.

Ended up paying back a quarter of the Tether I’d borrowed, which was enough to put me back in the green. Both ETH and MATIC are continuing to fall, so I still have to keep a close eye on it, though.

As absolutely expected, like clockwork, HIVE got dumped on and erased all the gains it made yesterday:

Was another nasty, rainy day out and I had no desire whatsoever to go out in it again. Even so, I didn’t want to break my streak, so I did serious laps and then some hard jogging in place to get it done. 💪

I folded and put away laundry and cleaned up the kitchen table (all in preparation for firing up the computer and doing some work)…but it just sits there taunting me.

Instead, I wasted most of the afternoon playing other people’s games. Lots of new titles coming out this week for the Oculus, but even though I’ve bought several recently that I haven’t finished (which makes me feel bad), I got Journey of the Gods, a game that’s been around for a while.

Was cool that there was a demo for it…played the demo for a bit and was sold. It’s kind of a RPG style game. The graphics are pretty basic, but the gameplay is fun.

As with most FPS games, the motion got to me after a while and I busted out some new high scores on Beat Saber. 😁 Got a couple on video as well! 👍

Really, that was more or less it for the day. Wenche made yummy turkey tacos for dinner and we watched some tube. We watched America: the Movie…absolutely nuts, but did make me laugh at how absurd it was a few times. Definitely a lot of pop culture Easter eggs all over the place! 🙂

We both were pretty tired and we hit the sack early. Got to get something significant done here right away or else risk going into existential crisis mode.

I think this makes like three or four days of robberies or other crap that make dShitty even shittier than it need be.

Not sure why I would expect anything different…just dumping off my income to Solairitas anyway and have been for months now. I guess someone is happy with the game as it is because it doesn’t seem to be changing at all.

Got my one abachon win in the Holybread arena today, but that was it. I do still go in fairly frequently, but I’m really asking myself “why” again. I really do feel like I’m wasting my life spending time with this…it isn’t fun, it’s only point is to get a vote to build stake. Without that, it’s a net negative. 😡

I’ll take seventh for as long as I can, but it doesn’t matter now anyway.

Still doing missions and lessons on Rising Star. I did go in and buy a couple new cards today, just trying to increase my unique card number as much as I can…starting to run out of people I can afford, the other, rarer ones are super expensive.

The Splinterlands season is nearing its end, and between that and being up in Diamond, my trepidation towards playing is not unfounded, however I played quite a bit today.

Was difficult and frustrating, but I stuck it out and got my rank back.

Finally completed the Death quest that was like pulling teeth to get done, but got pretty good rewards for it:

I’ve got Snipe quest now, but being the last day I don’t think I’m going to risk losing out of Diamond before the reset.
