July 15, 21: AutomaticWin, Broken DoubleDay Streak, Solid Web Work, and Games

Nine thirty to five thirty again tonight. FitBit still says I’m an hour short (just like yesterday), but I’m seriously happy with that kind of regularity! Didn’t drag hardly at all…got a bit worn out, but that’s a different story.

The morning routine was painful once again this morning as my shittokens continue to fall…not liking that I would have been about half an ETH better off had i just let it sit on Coinbase. 🤬😭 Hopefully we’ll recover sooner rather than later…at least ETH is going down as well; it’s not money going out of Polygon back to ETH (I don’t think).

Well, been procrastinating hardcore and feeling terrible about it, so today I finally broke the wall and fired up the computer. Turns out it had been unplugged some time ago and had crashed out from complete battery drain. 😱

Luckily, it wasn’t too bad to restart and I got logged back in to everything alright. I pretty much spent the entire day working; would have liked to have accomplished more than I did (and experienced somewhat less frustration), but that’s the learning curve I suppose.

I did finally get my css and JavaScript to enqueue on the site, but none of it was being applied! Spent several hours trying to figure out why it was being overwritten (thought it was something with the theme css being loaded later)…turns out, I think, that it was the blank css file that was cached!

This was super frustrating and annoying and a problem I didn’t even know was a problem, but good to learn since it would have meant that if I made changes to the live site it would have caused all kinds of browser cache issues.

I did make progress, though, and learned; so hopefully things will be smoother going forward. I had a vision of what I wanted things to look like by the end of the day, and it’s close (at least closer)…and the major stuff of enqueuing my own custom css and js is done, which is a solid stepping stone. From here it’s on to wrestling with inputs and JavaScript and AJAX…getting into the nitty-gritty of making the site functional rather than the static pages that are currently presented.

Haven’t even tried to tackle login or chain interaction yet, but there I go piling on…step by step wins finishes the race.

I really didn’t want to break my longest #DoubleDay streak ever, but I was sitting in front of the computer for most of the day and was worn out/stressed out by the time it came to do some laps…I’d gotten the #AutomaticWin, so I figured that and actually finally working were good enough. I suppose I could have done it before bed, but six thousand steps just seemed like too much to get done before I wanted to be in bed.

Wenche made an omelette for dinner and we watched some more of the new season of Atypical…not typically the type of show I like, but for some reason I do enjoy this one. 😄 Didn’t take too long before we both got ready for bed and zonked out.

I don’t even know…dShitty income just keeps falling, it seems. Can’t really be too bothered about it, nothing new. I guess I should just be amazed that 36 actually equals 36! 😲

Came close on my Holybread tasks today, but just couldn’t get that third win. The increase in stats has proven to be fruitless once again, but I’m not going to bother spending Bread on potions when they still aren’t voting.

Holding seventh for the nothing that’s currently worth.

I actually remembered to go in several times on CryptoBrewmaster today and got a few more ingredients saved up. Still need a few more, though, but more progress than like the whole last week! 😂

After my Rising Star buying spree yesterday, today I was just rebuilding my Starbits. Pounding missions and lessons.

I did torture myself a little by playing Splinterlands. Got my guild brawls set up and haven’t been doing too badly with them, but not so much on the ranked battles.

Only got one Snipe win before I quit, so still have that quest just sitting there from two days ago.
