Mar. 19, 21: AutomaticWin, Oculus, Gardening, Sleeping, and Games
Slept all the way until six this morning, and despite going to bed relatively late last night, I got close enough to call it a full night! 😍 Even so, the amount I’ve been losing still made me drag hard in the afternoon. I fought through it, but succumbed early in the evening.
Not much going on during the morning routine. Sad to say it, but $58k Bitcoin has become boring. We’ve just been trading sideways more or less for days now and the volumes are just stupid low. I suppose we’re gearing up for move here imminently.
My exchange was due today, and while we usually do #AutomaticWins on the weekends, I decided to head out. Ended up putting in a lot more distance than I had planned. Did about six kilometers on my own and then got the dog and took him for a couple of kilometers as well.
Seriously chilly this morning. Nice and sunny, pretty clear skies, so no complaints there, but the wind was nasty.
Out again just about with the sunrise. Feeling good that I’m feeling motivated to get out again.
Did a swing down to the lake. Very calm day down there except for a goose or ten honking every now and then.
Got one coming in for a landing! 😃
Snagged a quick sandwich after I got back and started to think about laying down. I resisted the urge and instead jacked into the Oculus for a while. I played a few rounds of the new songs and finally cleared one on expert+ at normal speed! 💪
A new game Crashland came out, so I downloaded it and gave it a try. Seems to be quite a few levels and locks of things to unlock (progression), which is very cool. It’s a first person horror shooter and the monsters/alien bugs are pretty scary.
One thing, though, it’s not easy...in fact it’s frustratingly difficult! I played the first level four or five times before I was leveled enough to be able to clear it! I made it to the second level (out of 24, I think), but died like three times in a row and quit. Its certainly got replay value, though, just have to “get good.”
Posted my automaticwin proper and then looked for something else to do. It had warmed up a little by then and the sun was just shining away, so rather than lay down like I really wanted to, I went out and got some work done preparing the garden for this year.
The ground isn’t completely thawed yet, so I just mostly cleared out weeds and leaves from last year and raked out the top layer of the little crawling weeds that have started already.
I got the south-west quadrant more or less done. It looks pretty good, like fresh black dirt. 👍😁 On the other side of the fence at that end, though, it was wicked overgrown with several different kinds of nasty burr plants. Spent more time trying to clean that out than actually in the garden proper. Still, don’t want tall-ass weeds shading out my tomatoes.
I grabbed a couple of fried eggs for dinner and then it wasn’t possible to fight the urge to lay down any more...by that point I figured I’d earned it. Ended up crashing out hard at like five o’clock! 😱
I didn’t wake up until the dog started wining to go outside around midnight. I got up and watched some TV with Wenche for about an hour and then went back to bed again.
I guess people are starting to anticipate the new edition coming out. As of today the first edition cards are out of print, so the only way to get them is from other players.
No robbery in my dCity today, but there were two crises, but for some reason they didn’t show up when I checked the map.
Woah! Despite the crises and receiving about half of what I should be, I’m just going to be happy that the numbers actually agree for once!
Got all my Holybread tasks done today without any problems. 😄 Still got one more day left before my potions need refilling and I’ve got plenty of gold saved up to put a little into stats as well.
It’s been a long time coming, been gunning for the sixth spot, usually only lost by just a fraction. Finally broke through and pushed my way up! 💪🏆
I got another water and set a brew going on CryptoBrewmaster. Came out just the regular lager. Got it sold out and moved up a couple meaningless slots on the leaderboard.
Still on this kick of playing Splinterlands every day. Not so bent on getting daily quests done and achieving specific goals, which reduces the stress...I don’t keep playing until I fail or achieve the goal, I play until I’ve had enough and then I quit.
I made a little bit of progress, but it’s also a little slow going. Actually approaching Diamond, going to need to decide what to do here soon...do I get to Diamond and rest on my laurels or take advantage of the fact that I’ve played so much and try to get up higher?
I had wanted to get into Gold I before finishing my Water quest from yesterday and I was able to. I know for certain I took a picture of my tier advancement, but for some reason it isn’t in my photo library. 😢 Oh, well, I did make it and finally got a Water win though I kept losing every time I tried with Water.
Not too bad rewards, got an Untamed pack:
The new quest immediately reset since I was overdue. I got a new quest: five wins with sneakers. Pretty easy considering I use sneakers nearly every battle anyway. OK rewards:
