Nov. 17, 20: Still Hurting, Bitcoin Rally, Errands, New Dishwasher, and Games

Four fricking thirty today and two and a half hours short. I suppose it’s to be expected after sleeping all evening yesterday, but it would be nice to actually catch up and not immediately lose the sleep again. 😡

Guts and back are still bothering me pretty bad, but I’m done with the antibiotics now, so hopefully it will start to get better as I continue to take the probiotics. 🤞 Didn’t head out for a proper walk, but was active and working the whole day nevertheless!

Hit up the usual morning routine and was blown away to find Bitcoin breaking bullish hardcore on rising volumes! This has been (and still seems to be) a meteoric rise in the price, so there’s got to be a pullback coming soon, but we’re coming up on all time highs now (only ten more percent), if we break that, the sky’s the limit, at least in the short to medium term.

HIVE, on the other hand, showed some brief signs of life and subsequently farted and shat all over itself. Can’t even seem to hold against BTC...seems like the sellers should run out sometime?!

I had some errands that I needed to run today, but i had a secret plan in mind. See, a year or so back some mice chewed the wiring in our dishwasher. I took several days trying to repair it, but after all the time and effort, wound up with a nothingburger.

We’ve had to replace basically all the other appliances (the furnace is coming on Monday) and so the dishwasher wasn’t really a top priority...but there it was, staring me in the face, this dead reminder of my failure...

I happened to see an ad from the hardware store that they had an 11% sale on, so i checked out what they had. Found a suitable replacement for relatively cheap and decided to go for it.

Spent another half an hour or so debating whether to call someone to try and borrow a pickup truck, but measured the openings in the cars and was fairly confident that it would fit if I took my wife’s car.

Went and ran my errands and then headed into the store. Grabbed another valve so that we can shut of the dishwasher water separately and went to put it in and an old piece of piping just snapped right in two! 🤬 It was ok, I suppose, since there was another adapter part that I needed, which of course was not included.

Headed back into town to the hardware store again and got everything I needed. Unfortunately, the old drain pipe was routed under the cabinet and there was no way I was going to get the new one through, so I drilled out a new hole and got the line through.

Amazingly enough, with seven new joints, not a single one leaked!!! 😄🥳🤩

Gave it a test run and works great, cleaned well and no leaks as far as I could see. 😁

Cleaned up my work area and put away all my tools and it was pretty late. Got ready for bed, watched maybe ten minutes of tv, and was out.

Another day of no crime in my dCity today. 🥳 Kind of got a ways to go still before I can afford anything else, so just saving up and keeping my fingers crossed that bad stuff doesn’t happen.

Holy crap, Holybread! I actually got my arena wins for the day and only had one more quest to complete and I was so busy with the dishwasher that I completely forgot about it. 😭

Surprising enough, I’ve fought my way back up to the top ten! 💪 Probably a tenuous position, but gives me a little breathing room. 😁

Nothing really happening on CryptoBrewmaster. Still just gathering ingredients...with both ale and lager now available, which splits the quests even further and makes getting a brew started exceedingly harder. I really don’t think it’s going to be worth the time and effort once I’m even able to move tokens, but what else is there besides other card collection clones?

Only ten days left to give Splinterlands your money, at least that’s what the annoying pop up tells me. Now they’ve issued some other NFT collectible money grab...not even interested in looking at it.

Time ticks on, should probably play at least one game.
