Reds Sign Wade Miley (SP)

The Cincinnati Reds have signed left hander Wade Miley to a $15 million contract over the next two years with a club option for 2022. If the Reds were to exercise that option the deal would be worth a total of $24 million.

MLB Network - Facebook

Miley was lights out during most of the season with Houston last year. That being said he made a turn for the worse after the All Star to the point he eventually wasn’t included on the Astros post season roster. As a Reds fan I’ll be hoping we see more of that early success vs. what started to appear later in the year.

Miley also has connections to the Reds pitching coach Derek Johnson. Miley threw with the Brewers while Johnson led up the pitching staff there. I have to imagine this signing aligns to where Johnson probably had put in a good word and sees something from the 33 year old. If that's the case then hopefully we'll see more of that early success that Miley had with Houston.

It’s good to see the Reds making moves to support the push next year. Miley will do the job of filling in a spot on the back of the rotation to give some of our younger guys more time to develop in Louisville or possibly make a move to relief help if the Reds decide they can’t find any options from the market. Either way it’s another option the Reds can look to for support when it comes to finding someone to take the mound.

I’ve had a week or so to think about this since I started the draft of this post and I must say I’m really liking this deal. We already had a solid front of the rotation so there was no need to make a blockbuster deal for the likes of Gerrit Cole. The Reds just needed someone who they could give the ball to every 5 days in hopes they don’t screw it up. They got just that and a left handed thrower to boot.

it is really crazy to me how much money is spent in baseball. I have to say though, it is one of my favorites to watch live because it is so much more laid back than the other sports. When i had the good fortune to live in Chicago many years ago, Sox tickets were $10 because the stadium was so damn big and the Cubs were so much more popular. I went to almost every game and just chilled and ate hot dogs and drank beer. Of course this ended up costing $40 but that is the nature of the beast!

I like how you made your website at https://patrickulrich.com/ with WordPress using the theme "Divi". 😁

I just want to point out the "Testimonials" section of your main page. 🕵️‍♂️ It looks like you forgot to put your own text there, and it has been like that for several months! 😆

Additionally, the social buttons on the bottom of your page below "Follow Me" were not working, except for the Twitter button.

Please tell me soon after you fixed it. Thanks!

P.S. I am aware of your business website https://lexingtonbitcoinconsulting.com/! 😁

Divi is by far the easiest Wordpress builder I've ever used. It so easy to throw it in and create a site with no effort.

Whoops! I need to find some people to recommend me! 🤣 I'll try getting that part updated soon. As for the buttons thank you for the heads up. I fixed those and removed the sites I don't plan to use as much. Soon I'm going to need to remove the ones there in favor of DBuzz and other Hive sites! 😀

What do you think of our site? It's not been updated in years either really and could use some love.

I also like how the Divi theme looks, but I have not used it. It is so expensive at $89 a year or $249 lifetime. 💸💸 No matter how great a website looks like and how good its content is, it will be almost worthless if there are almost no visitors to put value on it. 🙁

By the way, the "Read More" buttons on your interests only lead to the top of your page. The text that should be the logo of your page at the top-left corner is dark blue, which is hard to see on blue background. 🕵️‍♂️

I recommend not displaying the testimonials until you get (at least 4) great testimonials. 🤓

Regarding your site, it is good. It shows your knowledge in website building and skills in website designing! 😃 (Personally, your website design looks like a mix between technical and playful, so I want to say that you might want to choose to lean more on a more formal design or a more friendly one.) 😅

P.S. This comment of mine might be of interest to @chrisrice, who operates several websites (though none of them are self-hosted). 😅
