NCAA Men's Hoops Recap 1/31/2020 (only 1 upset)

Not a ton exciting in terms of top 25 basketball last night. The UCLA upset of Colorado is something that I probably would have bet on, but it doesn't look like I gave it much of a thought yesterday. We will still call my record 2 for 2.

I had a feeling it would be a longshot, so it isn't too surprising that Gonzaga took care of Santa Clara. None of the games were really even that close.

Tonight we see zero top 25 games. Superbowl Sunday there is only one and most people will probably be gearing up for the Superbowl instead of watching the game. Unless you are from Iowa or Illinois of course.

Saturday gives us a huge slate of games. Twenty one top 25 games to be exact. I will definitely be watching the Michigan State/Wisconsin game in the afternoon. The Spartans have struggled on the road this year, so it could be a close game.

Other notable games include:

Kentucky at Auburn. This could be a really good game. It might be worth tuning in at 6:00 EST tomorrow night. Both teams have had some ups and downs this season.

Houston at Cincinnati is an upset just waiting to happen in my opinion. Florida State at Virginia Tech as well. My long shot upset pick would be Louisville at North Carolina State.

The Xavier/Seton Hall and Creighton/Villanova games could be good but with the ranked team having home court advantage I am pretty skeptical about an upset. I wouldn't be floored if one of them did win though.

Syracuse/Duke might be a good game and I think USC stands a chance of beating Colorado.

That's about it. Everything else should fall about how you would expect. I know everyone is going to be busy talking about the Superbowl, but check back Monday for my recap of college basketball from the weekend.
