Benefits of basketball to health

The results of practicing basketball, in the organism are numerous and among them it is observed:

During childhood: greater development of height, muscle mass, reflexes and agility.

In adults: it promotes good blood circulation, lung capacity and cleansing of the respiratory tract.

In general: the continuous movement of the game allows better synchronization of the cardiac rhythm (it includes the physical, mental and behavioral changes that follow a cycle approximately of 24 hours) in the player.

In terms of mental health, it favors the development of agility and logic when analyzing tactical aspects, in addition to improving alertness to prevent any type of physical attack.

Other favorable aspects that basketball develops are:  

Increases vitality: improves resistance to fatigue, so it provides more energy and capacity in work and study.  

Combat stress: reducing anxiety and depression, eases relaxation, reduces tension and helps you fall asleep.  

Strengthens the lungs: being an aerobic exercise (activates a large part of the muscle groups and forces the mobilization of air), strengthens the capacity of the lungs, improves the circulation of oxygen in the blood.  

It encourages coexistence: when it is played between friends and family, it strengthens affective ties, as well as giving an opportunity to meet people.  It promotes self-esteem and self-image.
