Three Ways To Fix Your Vertical Jump | by Pro Training Basketball
What's up basketball world! For today's training, we will have a training video featuring the "Three Ways To Fix Your Vertical Jump" by Pro Basketball Training. Using this tutorial, we will learn the top three ways to fix your vertical jump. Now, let's get right into it.
Fix #1: Flexibility Fix
Fix number one is the flexibility issue. So, for this, you're gonna need a long band. For this, you want to make sure you lay on your back with that long band, put it around your leg while you're on your back. You're gonna raise that leg up and down stretching out that hamstring. From there you want to keep that band around your foot and now we're gonna drop it side to side so we're opening up our hips as well as our low back. the last one thing in this drill is, you have to keep that band around your foot you have to drive that knee back to your chest and then you have to explode out of it.
Fix #2: Mobility Fix
So, fixed number two is going to address our mobility issue. For this, you're gonna need a mini band to place around your knees if you don't have a mini band that's fine you can just do your body weight. If you have that band, you're gonna take it, you're gonna put it around both knees. From there you're gonna take your hands, you're gonna touch the floor and you're gonna walkout. From there, you're gonna walk your feet up to your hands working through your ankles. You're gonna continue to do that for about five to ten reps.
Fix #3: Drop Hop Fix
So, fix number three is the technique issue. For this drill, this is called our drop hop. All you're going to do is you're going to stand tall with your hands over your head as you drop your hips down. You're going to swing your hands through your hips and then you're going to explode out of it.
