What's up basketball world! For today's training, we will have a training video featuring the Top 3 Shooting Drills by Pro Basketball Training. Using this tutorial, we will learn three drills to help you shoot when your shot is being contested. So let's get right into it.

First Drill: Contested run-outs

The first drill is called contested run-outs. And how this drill works is your partner is going to start underneath the basket in the charge circle and they're going to pass it out to you and they're going to close out with a high hand and you're going to shoot over the contested defender. You're going to get your rebound and then you're going to switch with your partner and now you're the one that's going to close out and contest.

For this drill, you can do it in a couple of different ways. You can shoot any spot on the court and when you count, you can either do make spurts 1 2 5 or you can do as a group and make 10. But this drill works in any kind of way as long as you do it the right way with the hard closeout and you shoot over the test.

Second Drill: Contested pull-ups

Drill number two is called contested pull-ups. In this drill, you're going to start at the top of the key facing the basket and your partner is going to start about two feet inside the free-throw line and also facing the basket. You're going to take your dribble, either way, left or right and once your partner hears the dribble, they're going to turn around and contest your pull-up jumper.

For this drill, you can do a couple of things. You do make four by yourself until you make about five to ten, or you can alternate between you and your partner shooting as long as you're going hard and your partner is contesting with the high hand after you drove that basketball.

Third Drill: Contested down screens

Drill number three is called contested down screens. For this drill, you're going to start on the elbow with the ball and your partner is going to start on the block. You're going to spin the ball out a good distance and your partner is going to try to chase you down around the elbow into where you're shooting before you get the shot off. This is very good because it lays how you come off of a down screen with the trailing defender trying to get a shot off in the game.

For this drill, you can do a couple of things as well. You can either shoot yourself a few times while
your partner tries to chase you down or you can alternate and see who can make it five first and that's the best way to be competitive and keep the drill game up.

And that's it. I hope this training video helps you guys with your shooting. To all basketball players out there who want to improve themselves, stay tuned for more of these training videos. See you around!
