NBA: Russell Westbrook makes historic triple-double for Washington Wizards

Russell Westbrook of Washington Wizards wrote his name into the history books has he made a triple-double to help his side overcome Indiana Pacers 132.124.

The star guard recorded 35 points, 14 rebounds and 21 assists in the process topping NBA triple double record of 35 points, 10 rebounds and 20 points recorded by Magic Johnson and Oscar Robertson.

A triple double occurs when a player records double figures in the three statistical categories i.e in terms of points, rebounds and assists.

Westbrook had this to say after the match. It reads

"I take pride as a leader in making my team-mates better,".

The 32 year-old American now has 16 triple doubles to his name while playing for the Wizards, all in just 38 games played.
