Is It Good To Get Close To The Attacker? - Self Defense
The distance between you and the attacker is a crucial factor in a fight. When you stand far away, the attacker cannot attack you. To attack you, he has to come close to you. Or, when you get close to the attacker, it is easy for the attacker to attack you.
You are good at kicking and punching, but that does not help you in a fight for self defense if you do not understand the distance. Whenever you kick or punch, you see that your opponent is moving away from the line of attack. You cannot even reach him with a punch or kick, let alone hit him.
When you are close to the attacker, you have some advantages and disadvantages. In case the attacker is about to draw any weapon, you can stop him right there. It is always better to stop the attacker before he is able to do anything. As soon as he has the weapon, it could be a gun, knife, stick or anything, it gets a little difficult.
So when you see the attacker is moving his hands back or is about to take something from his pocket, you do not like to give him the chance to get his weapon, do you? Although you know how to defend against a knife attack, you do not want to be in a situation where you have to fight to defend against a knife.
Sometimes you have no choice. You have to make your move, otherwise, it will get worse. So do not let your guards down when you are in a situation like this. If you control the distance, you can use it in your favor to defend yourself and counter-attack.
When you get so close to the attacker, sometimes it is difficult to see and you have less time to react and do something to defend yourself. If you are not careful enough, anything could happen in a close range. You are close, so it is easy to hit you. At the same time, you can attack the attacker pretty fast.
If you want to avoid any fight, you can stay away from the attacker. The attacker cannot attack you from there, and you have the time to respond and make your move to defend yourself. How you see things and what you want to do in a situation, that determines your distance between you and your opponent.

Very good publication friend @rezoanulvibes I like this type of topics a lot, since sometimes in life we find ourselves in different municipalities and sometimes we have to act quickly if because yes and I like this about the defense and if it has its pros and cons being close and far from the opponent of the fight only that the fight should be applied according to our strategies and response capabilities to know what suits us and what ability we have we can apply to the opponent.
