Make Your Move Using Your Whole Body - Self Defense

If you see someone's move, you can distinguish whether he or she is good at it or just learning. There is a big difference when a martial art expert makes his move. He knows how to use his whole body when he strikes.

When you punch or kick, it is not just your hands or legs that strike. You see the hands or legs movement. That's clear. You can hit using only your hands or legs. But if you ask about how to generate power on your strike, you have to use your whole body on your strike.

When you strike, twist and use your hips. You can see the difference in your strike. It is not that you can learn to use your body instantly while striking. It takes time and a lot of practice. Then it becomes your second nature. When you make your move, you do not think of using your whole body, you do it automatically.

Martial art is not just kicking and punching. It is way more than that. You have to learn the basics first. Then you can move on from there. Basics would be the same no matter how far you go. You have to have patience and practice consistently.

Okay, I'm learning martial arts and now I have an exam, or I am very busy right now. You can start learning martial arts again after the exam. I just moved to another city and do not know where to go to learn martial arts. No problem. You can ask your instructor if there is any institution or ask your neighbor. Or, you can simply search on Google. You will get the answer.

When you really want to do something, you will always find a way to do that. It might take some time or you face some problems but nothing can stop you.

When you are looking for something, do you only use your eyes? You use your eyes to see, move your head to look around, and your legs to walk, your hands to grab, and of course, your brain to think and decide. When you make your move for self defense, you need to learn how to use your whole body. It is not just hands that move when you strike. Your legs, hips, shoulder, and head also move.
