There are many people who are passionate about martial arts. I am glad to meet like-minded people here on Steem blockchain. And if you love sports, SportsTalkSocial is the tribe you love to spend your time.

In this post, I'm going to share my opinion about a hair grab defense technique that @devann mentioned in one of my latest posts.

Thank you so much for your research, and sharing that with us, @devann. What I am going to say, that is my opinion. If my opinion goes against any technique or martial art, that does not mean that technique is useless or I do not like that martial art.

As you know, sometimes I share videos from YouTube so that it would be easier to understand what I am saying. Sometimes I share alternative techniques that I think will be more effective in a situation like that. Let's watch this video.

There are some situations where you want to get out of there without hitting the guy or for some reasons, you cannot strike. You can use a technique like this. You have to be fast to make this work for you.

You are grabbing the attacker's hand with your both hands and turn. It will put a lot of pressure on the attacker's wrist and hand. You can make him off-balance and fall him on the ground. A person who does not have martial art skills probably does not know what to do to prevent someone if he applies this technique.

However, a martial art expert can find a way to stop someone from doing this technique. How?

To use this technique, someone has to grab the opponent's hand with both hands, lower his head and then turn. When he feels the pressure on his hand, he can strike him. He can strike him when he lowers his head and starts turning. He can also turn his body, as a result, he will not feel that pressure and easily attack him from behind.

When you fight for self defense and if you make any move work for you, that's all that matters. How you see a situation and react to it can change the whole thing. Thank you so much for reading this post. Please feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.

Yes, you make a valid point @rezoanulvibes. Faced with an opponent trained in martial arts it might be better to attack rather than defend. As they say attacking is the best form of defense.

Yes, sometimes you have to attack in order to defense and sometimes you should avoid the fight. It depends on the situation. Thank you very much @devann for your feedback.
