This game sees 2 form sides both scoring loads of runs and playing on a pitch that is conducive to high scoring go head to head. After the last couple of days where we've had rather one-sided games it'd be nice at the very least to see a close contest and if that happened to coincide with a run fest then all the better.
I wrote a few blogs back that I felt the Stars batting still had plenty left in the tank and over their last couple of matches they've shown just that. Glenn Maxwell started things off with his brutal late innings assault against the Renegades and then last time out Marcus Stoinis smashed a record-breaking 147* against the Sixers in a top of the table clash. Stoinis is one of several Western Australians in this Stars line-up which should add a little extra spice to the contest.
As for the Scorchers, they seem to be hitting form at just the right time having won 3 on the trot but this will be a massive test of just how far this new look Perth team has come. They have a dangerous looking top order in Livingstone, Inglis and Marsh while bowling wise Jyhe Richardson and Fawad Ahmad look a class above the rest but will need to be at their absolute best to limit the Stars.
