The Optus Stadium in Perth is producing some big scores at the moment including the whopping 381 runs in the previous match played here against the Renegades. The ball was certainly coming onto the bat very nicely on that occasion and there is no reason to suspect it won't again in this game.

These 2 teams played each other just a couple of weeks ago with the Sixers winning comfortably after the Scorchers were bundled out for just 131. Since then though the Scorchers batting has refound its mojo and but for a couple of rash shots against the Strikers they could well have chased down 198 in their last trip out. By contrast, the Sixers were bowled out cheaply on a poor Alice Springs wicket and then struggled to match the power of Chris Lynn against the Heat. Their big names need to refind some form and fast!

It'd be fair to say that both sides bowling attacks are looking a little shell-shocked at present and are leaking runs all over the place. However, things change pretty quickly in T20 cricket so any guess is as good as another!

Specifically in English cricket, any sequence of 3 numbers in a row like that (111, 222, 333) is considered bad luck. If you read the Wikipedia below you’ll see that a former English umpire called David Shepard believed hopping on one foot would keep away the bad luck when the score was that. Please post a video of you hopping 😀
