My Deck Build Actifit Report Card: July 17 2019
One hell of a back breaker day. Around the rain spits my Father and I worked on the deck. I got the ground fully leveled and found that I had used my weed fabric under the pallets.
3 stacks of 12ft long pallets!
Which happened to be in my garden and needed to be moved outside the garden to free the piled upon fabric. We managed to get them all moved around the corner then I laid the weed fabric on the ground of the deck and drove staples in in various points.
My Father has a transit so we shot the levels of everything and got the piers all within an inch of each other. The joists are all in and tight. I am missing 3 of the post caps that couple the cross beam to the post but my Father will be getting them tomorrow. I have 2 but still need 3.
Tomorrow I have to go get 5 barrels of grain first thing in the morning then the decking installation begins. I hope to have the deck done tomorrow with lighting up. It would be SUPER nice to eat dinner on it tomorrow evening!!!
This is a pretty damned cool project and will be incredibly nice. With our double slider the deck will really increase the space of our house.
My construction skills are getting better thankfully.
Look in’ Good!! Keep on Keepin’ On!! Always learning something new is the key. Next your going to have to dig in a pool. Hahaha

Hah hah! Nahh, hottub is in the plans eventually. Probably next year.
We have a creek with a wading pool so I am good with no pool.
