All-round Australia crush Sri Lanka for 1-0 lead - Cricbuzz
Australia Women just smashed Srilanka Women and won by 157 runs. Aussies have beaten Srilanka in every formats of batting, bowling, fielding and they just did a super all round performance.
Australia batted first and gathered a total of 281 runs losing 8 wickets in 50 overs. Skipper Lanning scored 73 runs from 66 balls, Beth Mooney scored 66 runs from 68 balls and Haynes scored 56 runs from 76 balls. Srilankan bowler Prabodhani took two wickets and Ranasinghe took two wickets.
On the other hands, Srilanka was too weak to chase that score. They were all out in just 124 runs. Nobody can cross 30 runs. Their captain Siriwardene scored 30 runs. Three Aussie bowlers took two wickets each. Vlaeminck, Jonassen and Gardner took two wickets each.
