Shami, Jadeja launch India to series-opening 203-run win
Shami, Jadeja destroyed South Africa and India won the match by 203 runs.
India batted first and in the first innings they scored a total of 502 runs. Mayank Agarwal and Rohit Sharma started a good start for India. Mayank scored 215 runs and Rohit scored 176 runs.
Then South Africa came to bat for their second innings and they fight good but not more than India. They scored a total of 431 runs. Dean Elgar scored 160 runs and Quinton de Kock scored 111 runs.
Leading 71 runs India started their batting for the second innings. And again Rohit is the hero here. He scored 127 runs and his total run was 303 in this match. In this innings India scored 323 runs and declared their innings.
Getting target at 395 runs, South Africa came to chase. But this time they were too weak. They were all out in just 191 runs and thus India won the match by 203 runs. Indian pacer Mohammad Shami Ahmed took five wickets giving 35 runs and spinner Jadeja took 4 wickets giving 87 runs.
