As kids not only we enjoyed sports but also had fun doing it. We didn't take sports serious. It was a just a play to pass time, get together with others and do things that brought laughter.
As we got older slowly but surely the element of fun disappeared from our sporting activities. Worst still, the current competitive nature of sports is robbing fun away even from the present day kids.
Why is that so?
Should it be so?
Is fun counterproductive to peak performance?
