Shooting: Martina Veloso, Jasmine Ser out of SEA Games squad, won't defend gold medals.
SINGAPORE - Two of Singapore's shooting stars - Jasmine Ser and Martina Veloso - will not be competing at the Nov 30-Dec 11 SEA Games in the Philippines, as they were not on the Singapore National Olympic Council's list of 585 athletes bound for the Games released on Thursday (Aug 1).
I was hoping to see these ladies do some action on the arena but I guess it's quite a dream now. It's such a tragedy to miss them just because of not being on the list. Well, there's no thing we can do about that.
Though they will not be competing at the Nov 30-Dec 11 SEA Games in the Philippines, the bright side is, it's not the end of the road. I'm sure the SEA Games will be as awesome as usual. Seeing athletes from different nations gather in one place is such a historic event no one should miss.
