Authorities rudely interrogated Wasim Akram, a former Pakistan cricketer, for having insulin at Manchester airport. He tweeted on Tuesday that how he was forced to throw insulin into a plastic bag.

As far as I know insulin is used to control diabetes. I think authorities should have checked the things properly to know whether it is harmful. Then they should have rudely interrogated Wasim Akram. I don’t think insulin could create any problems for them though, the actual reason is unknown for which airport security professionals forced him to dump insulin into a bag.

“Very disheartened at Manchester airport today, I travel around the world with my insulin but never have I been made to feel embarrassed. I felt very humiliated as I was rudely questioned & ordered publicly to take insulin out of its travel cold-case & dumped into a plastic bag,” Akram tweeted.

“I do not believe I should have been treated differently from anyone else. I just believe there should be a standard of care when dealing with all people. I understand there are proper safety precautions but that doesn’t mean people should be humiliated whilst undergoing them,” Akram further wrote on Twitter.
