The Chelsea Manager Frank Lampard is of the opinion that a dangerous precedent is being set in the Premier League with the use of VAR (Video Assistant Referee) after the VAR technology change the decision of the referee and give Watford a late penalty after Jorginho poor tackle on a Watford player in Chelsea's 2-1 win over Watford yesterday.

Chelsea football club moves up to third after their victory at Vicarage road but now back on the fourth position with Leicester's win as they are now leading Chelsea with goal difference.

Even though Chelsea came out victorious, they played under tension for the rest of the match after Gerard Deulofeu scored from the penalty spot in the 8th-minute for the hosts.

Gerard Deulofeu went down after the slight  tackle from Chelsea's Jorginho and immediately after the referee pointed for a goal kick, He was advised by the Video Assistant Referee to overturn his decision.

“We’re not in a great place with it,” the Chelsea manager told reporters after the match.

“I know (using screens) is a bit contentious, I know it could mean every fan might call for it and there might pressure on the referees.

“But if we are overturning decisions because one referee somewhere else thinks it was more of a penalty than the referee on the pitch, then I think we are in a really dangerous place. You’re going to be tossing a coin every week.”
