Francis Ngannou: ‘It would be unfair’ for UFC to not give me Stipe Miocic rematch

Ngannou (14-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC) is currently enjoying a career resurgence, knocking out his past three opponents - Curtis Blaydes, Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos - all in the first round. Ngannou believes he's done more than enough to get another crack at the title.

After a 6-0 start to his UFC tenure, "The Predator" got a title shot at UFC 220 vs. none other than Miocic himself. He fell short in a lackluster performance, where Miocic was able to weather the early storm and beat down Ngannou for the remainder of the fight to earn a decision.

Ngannou then dropped a unanimous decision to Derrick Lewis at UFC 226 in an uneventful contest, and it suddenly seemed like everyone was off the Ngannou hype train, including UFC president Dana White.

But after scoring three straight knockouts, Ngannou thinks there's no doubt that he should be next in line.

"I'm here waiting for the rematch," Ngannou said Monday on " Ariel Helwani's MMA Show." "The title shot, and it would be unfair to not give me that fight because I've done what has to be done to deserve it, to prove that I can get the opportunity back."
