Khabib’s manager: Georges St-Pierre is next, not Tony Ferguson or ‘irrelevant’ Conor McGregor
According to Khabib Nurmagomedov's manager, we won't be seeing the UFC lightweight champion face either Tony Ferguson or Conor McGregor next.
Nurmagomedov (28-0 MMA, 12-0 UFC) submitted Dustin Poirier in the third round at UFC 242 to retain his title, and talks of his potential next started almost immediately.
At the UFC 242 post-fight news conference, UFC president Dana White confirmed that former interim lightweight champ Ferguson, who's currently riding a 12-fight winning streak, would be next "if he wants the fight."

So, Khabib is going to move up a weight class? If he stays lightweight, he has to fight Ferguson. As the latter said the other day, either defend or vacate.
This is def a strategic way to get out of a fight with Ferguson, as a match with GSP would certainly be a "money fight".
Khabib knows that Tony Ferguson is the only one who can take him.
